    Understanding the legal framework governing lifting operations and the responsibilities of personnel involved.

  • Operator Safety
    Emphasizing safety protocols during lifting operations in the workplace.

  • Load Estimation and Sling Angles
    Theory of load weight estimation, sling angles, safe working loads, and working load limits.

  • Lift Planning and Documentation
    Routine lift planning procedures and necessary documentation.

  • Equipment Identification and Inspection
    Identification and inspection of lifting accessories and equipment.

  • Defect Reporting
    Procedures for reporting equipment defects.

  • Marking and Rating Methods
    Understanding methods of marking and rating for lifting accessories.

  • Pre-use Inspections
    Conducting pre-use inspections of the crane and lifting accessories.

  • Crane Controls and Movement
    Basic crane controls and movement, including loaded and unloaded operations and controlling load swing.

  • Practical Slinging and Load Movement
    Hands-on experience in slinging and moving workplace loads.

  • Accessory Selection for Multi-Legged Lifts
    Selecting appropriate lifting accessories for multi-legged lifting operations.

  • Communication and Signaling
    Use of hand signals and tag lining procedures for directing and controlling loads.

  • Load Landing and Equipment Storage
    Procedures for landing loads, sling removal, and correct storage and protection of lifting accessories.

  • Crane Isolation and Parking
    Proper methods for isolating and parking the crane after operations.
